The integration through Orion today consists of the ability for Advisors to schedule select data queries via our Data Query App and have the results sent to a Bloomberg SFTP. This setup is done manually by the Advisor using the SFTP provided to them by Bloomberg. The basic queries are “Bloomberg – Position Upload” and “Bloomberg – Transaction Upload”.

Future plans are fully integrate and automate this setup up for Advisors via our Integration Center.

A Chicago-based investment research firm that compiles and analyzes fund, stock, and general market data. Morningstar also provides an extensive line of internet, software and print-based products for individual investors, financial advisors and institutional clients.

Morningstar Direct has the ability to automatically pull accounts from Orion into their system. For more information, please see the Orion to Morningstar Import guide.

Additionally, Orion can provide an Asset Category Weighting (or break-down) for Mutual Funds from Morningstar that shows the percentage of the fund allocation as it is split among the Morningstar Asset Categories. For more information on this feature contact the Orion Market Data team.
