Can you explain the difference between No Fee and a 0% fee schedule?

Thank you for your question, Nancy.

The No Fee (pay method) will allow a fee to be calculated if there is a Fee Schedule assigned to the Account. If the fee is calculated and fee files are created, the accounts with a No Fee pay method will be on a separate fee file designated for No Fee accounts. The reason one would want to calculate a fee, but not collect the fee is for the purpose of showing the client what they would have been charged; possibly showing the advisor is doing a favor by not collecting the fee that was calculated.

A 0% fee schedule will need to be assigned if the account should not calculate any fee. If a 0% fee schedule is assigned the pay method can be Direct or No Fee.
